How to transfer an existing domain from Dreamhost and tokenize it with 3DNS

Ensure your domain is ready for transfer by confirming:

Wait 60 days after purchasing or transferring your domain, or changing your contact info, before transferring.

You have 30 days to complete the transfer before your domain gets locked again. If it locks, you'll need to cancel the transfer and start over.

Remove DNSSEC on your domain.

Steps to Transfer Your Domain:

1. Unlock Your Domain

First, you need to make sure your domain isn't locked. This is a safety feature to prevent unauthorized transfers.

Find Lock Status: Look for the "Transfer Lock" status in your domain settings. It's either "Locked" or "Unlocked".

Unlock It: Click a button or switch to change from "Locked" to "Unlocked".

2. Get Your Domain's Auth Code

Go to Settings: Visit the Transfer Registrations page then click on the link titled "Or transfer away from DreamHost."

Get the Code: Click to reveal your EPP/Auth code. This might be shown to you directly or sent via email.

3. Visit 3DNS:

Go to the 3DNS platform (app.3dns.box).

In the 3DNS dashboard, select the "Transfers" section.
